The Month of May

Once again, I find myself in the position of being embarrassingly behind on my posts.  Yes, it's almost October, and I'm just now posting on May. Yikes.  Well, life happens, so without any further apologies, here is our month of May.

It really wasn't a very exciting month.  Once we returned from Hamilton Island, we were ready to just have normal routine life for a little while.

I attended Mother's Day Tea at Marin's Kindy, and enjoyed seeing the school happenings there.

Later it was off to Caden's prep class to celebrate there.

We took a quick day trip to Coolangatta / Rainbow Bay for a picnic and to watch the surfers. This is where they host the Quicksilver Pro {surfing competition}, and we decided it would be fun to try and come watch the competition next year. I mean how cool would it be to watch Kelly Slater bring in another championship?

Hallie had a bit of a lippy debacle.  Go figure...my inquisitive one.

Mom got a little girls' night out with a few of the other prep moms, complete with limo service and lots and lots of bubbly. How fun that we figured out we had Canadian, American, Scottish, Irish, Indian and {of course} Australian women present!

Caden had fun at Under 8's Day at school, where just like it says, they celebrate being under 8.  Such a cute idea. The school hosts a dozen or more activities for their age group and the kids get grouped and choose what they want to do.  Our boys chose surf board decorating, mask making, the health station {complete with skeleton} and activities on the oval.

"I'm so STRONG! Look at my MUSCLES!"

We also celebrated our one year anniversary in Oz, Cory's birthday and our 8th wedding anniversary, but hey, who's counting.  Sometimes it's just nice to be at home. All in all it was one fine May.
