Toy Story 3

Several weeks ago I took Caden and Marin for a treat.  We went to see Toy Story 3, and ended up seeing it in 3D.  That wasn't our intent, but after learning that they even do movies differently here (people buy reserved seats for the theatre online), it was our only option short of sitting on row two (no thanks!).  Almost $100 later and we were sitting pretty, in our reserved seats, with our popcorn, $10 M&M's and sodas.

I was worried that the 3D part would freak Marin out since this was her first theatre experience, but she did about as well as any almost-three-year-old would do at their first movie.  None of us enjoyed wearing the glasses, and overall I think we all would have been just as happy with the regular old movie experience.

Riding the escalator to the theatre.

Posing with who else, Woody & Buzz.

Who's ready to see a movie? We are!

Caden was so excited about the movie, he came home and picked this to color for his evening art project that day.

Until the next Benjamin worthy movie...

  1. I'm just catching up on blogs...its been a while. Have to get back to Doha where I don't have anything to do. Love these stories about the movie, your 4th and the glory of ROTEL! Its amazing how proud we are to be Americans and Texans once we're away. So glad you got a little taste of home, plus the chance to see the TS3...btw...we have to reserve our seats in Doha too. Only they don't do the online thing. Every ticket gets an assigned seat. Oh and it is expensive here too. Miss you friend and hope to talk soon. Jet lag is still killing us! Lvu!

  2. $100? And you didn't like the 3D? Hope it was worth it, thought the experience itself should be "priceless", right? Can't believe you are wearing long sleeves....

  3. I can't believe how much Caden and Marin have changed since you guys moved away.

Tell the truth, did you have to hold back tears at the end (not because M&M's cost $10)?

I miss you guys and think of you often!
